ProForm 505 CST Treadmill Features

This is an entry level treadmill. If this is your first time buying a treadmill, then the ProForm 505 CST treadmill is a good choice. It is good for walking as well as light running. If you are diabetic, then moderation will be the key, especially if you are trying to get back in the groove of exercising. It would be worth your while to consider the ProForm 505 CST. ProForm has the reputation of building treadmills that are easy to use.

Durable, Reliable and Convenient

In general, the ProForm brand is reliable when it come to the treadmill. They are usually sturdy machines which last for a long time. The ProForm 505 CST is a durable treadmill. One of the smoothest walks I’ve had was on an earlier version of the ProForm 505 CST treadmill. The shocks contribute to this smooth walk and it also protects our joints as we walk and run. It lifts easily to fold away in a small space. This is convenient for persons in an apartment or has limited space. It would best be described as comfortable, but convenient.

Budget Friendly, A Steal

The ProForm 505 CST is reasonably priced. Considering that it is durable, easy to use, has a variety of programs that offer structure or ease the boredom, goes easy on the joints and a space-saver, then this price reflects value for money. The speakers are loud, so much so, that there is no need to use a headphone when walking or running on the ProForm 505 CST Treadmill. There is a place to connect other devices, including your table (aux port).

Bad Weather

Whether it is raining or snowing, your exercise program does not have to be at the mercy of the weather. The ProForm 505 CST will give you the opportunity to keep fit in spite of the outdoor conditions.

Warranty

  • Frame – Lifetime
  • Motor – 25 Years
  • Parts – 1 Year

Some Drawbacks

  • The absence of a wireless receiver to track your heart rate. Note it has heart rate monitoring programs and a heart rate grip sensor.
  • It does not come assembled, so you have to follow the instructions.
  • It weighs 191 pounds.
  • It goes up to 10 mph. For those who would like to run faster, this is not the machine for you.
  • The running area is 20″ wide by 55″ long. Tall persons will take issue with this running area.

The Proform 505 CST Treadmill definitely gets my nod. I like that it is reasonably priced, but durable and reliable. I am a fan of the shocks used in these treadmills as safety is a major concern in my book. This treadmill does not offer all the glitter of other more expensive ones, but it is a sound investment for someone with diabetes or someone who would like to take the challenge to get and stay fit.
